Job Description

Schedule and oversee regular preventive maintenance for all trucks.
Monitor, inspect, and troubleshoot mechanical issues on vehicles.
Coordinate and approve repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Supervise a team of mechanics and maintenance technicians.
Assign and prioritize repair and maintenance tasks.
Provide training and support to the maintenance team.
Conduct performance reviews and monitor work quality.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance.
Track and report vehicle performance and maintenance costs.
Prepare maintenance budgets and ensure expenditures stay within limits.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and maintain parts and tools inventory.
Order supplies as needed and ensure availability of critical parts.
Evaluate and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Implement and enforce safety protocols for the maintenance department.
Ensure that all vehicles meet legal and safety standards, including regular inspections.
Conduct safety audits and ensure adherence to industry and company regulations.
Work closely with fleet operations to schedule repairs and avoid disruptions.
Communicate with drivers and management about vehicle issues.
Provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.
