Job Description

Responsible for the operation of physical refinery and fractionation plants.
Ensure production targets are met and that each plant runs smoothly at its rated capacity.
Prepare daily production and chemical consumption reports.
Manage the issuance of required chemicals from the store.
Ensure the quality of refined oil and make necessary adjustments during shifts to maintain product specifications.
Identify and prepare scheduled maintenance work during plant shutdowns.
Maintain a register for mechanical breakdowns and troubleshooting.
Oversee workstation assignments, overtime allocations, backup arrangements for absent employees, and shift rotations of subordinates.
Supervise maintenance and preventive maintenance in the refinery, coordinating with electrical and mechanical fitters.
Maintain a shift logbook and record problems encountered during the shift.
Ensure workers are provided with personal protective equipment (PPE) and that uniforms and PPE are worn properly.
Monitor and control operational losses in refinery processes.
Ensure refined oil quality complies with standards or instructions from concerned authorities.
Properly hand over duties to the incoming shift supervisor before leaving the plant premises.
Safeguard the safety and security of all company assets in the refinery.
Train subordinates and new recruits.
Operate plants in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the refinery in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Oversee the shifting of used carboys and bags to the store.
Check all pumps and lubrication oil before starting the plant.
Verify the correct lineup before transferring oil from the plant or any other tank.
