Job Description

Coordinate with the production department to rectify the mechanical problems without fail
Installs, repairs, and maintains pumps, motors valves, and other mechanical accessories as and when required in the entire factory
Recognize and Troubles the mechanical problems in the factory during the shift
Responsible for the safety and security of all mechanical, Plumbing, bore wells, safety equipment, and accessories
Routine checking and observation of:All pump oil level, bearings, gland packing, and couplings
Checking of all mountings, gearboxes, pumps, machinery, etc
Checking all belt drivers and greasing to all bearings
Filling of lube oil for pumps, and gearboxes as and when required
Checking the leakages of oil, steam, water, air, etc
Follow the preventive /Breakdown works as instructed by the supervisor/Engineer
Periodic checking of steam traps, firefighting equipment, Air compressors, and boilers
Follow annual maintenance works as instructed by the Supervisor
Responsible for keeping tools and equipment
Ensure a clean and safe work area nearer to the mechanical equipment’s
Coordinate with other shift fitters and supervisors
Pending works are to be handed over to the upcoming shift electrician without fail during the shift handover
If any problem related to electrical and instrumentation, immediately inform the supervisor/engineer
Maintained the log book and book and maintained the shift activities report
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Management time
