Responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and managing the activities of the Fleet assigned to you including but not limited to:
Loading and offloading of cargo and communication required therein
Issuance of documents, allowances, and fuel related to the trip,
Vehicle maintenance while on road and when in the workshop
Conduct and documentation of the Driver assigned to those designated fleet
Documentation related to the fleet assigned.
Checking and following up on the documentation for cross-border clearance for vehicles/drivers, as and when it applies
Receiving documents from the driver on return from a trip and verifying the same against approvals and submitting the same to the concerned for booking in the system.
Monitoring and updating vehicle movement on a daily basis.
Constantly coordinate with drivers and participate in disciplining the drivers
Provide Drivers assessment diligently and accurately on a routine basis.
Responsible for analysis and strategic planning of operation of each trip so as to ensure that the overall costs of the trip (parking, security, fuel, allowances, damages, shortages, etc. are minimum), fleet and resource utilization (minimum turnaround around per trip, maximum trips per month, etc.), and regulatory compliance of a fleet are at their optimum
Responsible for informing management of any action necessary to cut fleet operating costs and for directing the attention of management to any unsatisfactory circumstances that come to notice until a satisfactory resolution is received.
