Operate and monitor all systems within the control room efficiently and effectively, ensuring all activities comply with standard operating procedures, current legislation (including GDPR), and the applicable codes of practice.
• Liaise with the police, other agencies, and staff members through various communication systems to ensure the system supports service objectives effectively.
• Respond promptly to all alarm activations, CCTV incidents, and emergency out-of-hours service calls.
• Prepare all evidential records and witness statements to a high standard, ensuring they are acceptable under the rules of evidence and current legislation.
• Record all events and actions clearly and accurately using the software system implemented in the CCTV control room.
• Provide an efficient and courteous response to radio and telephone communications, handling a wide range of issues professionally.
• Control access for all visitors to the control room to maintain strict security and confidentiality of CCTV operations.
• Report all equipment failures to the maintenance contractor and escalate any concerns to the CCTV Manager to ensure continuous system operation.
