Job Description

  • Maintain the integrity of the Trial Balance at all times.
  • Manage the accounting system to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions.
  • Oversee accounting operations, including general management, cost analysis, and month/year-end processes.
  • Perform monthly analyses and reviews of all GL accounts, ensuring reconciliations are maintained with the respective schedules.
  • Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Half-Yearly Management Accounts (MIS) and submit them to the Head of Finance for review and finalization.
  • Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Half-Yearly Returns, along with any other reports required by the Insurance Regulatory Authority.
  • Assist in the preparation of Board Packs and other reports submitted to the Board and its committees.
  • Manage and supervise the Credit Control function of the company by ensuring timely collection of premiums and reconciliation with insurance partners, reinsurers, direct clients, brokers, agents, and other receivables in the books.
  • Assist during internal and external audits and ensure the resolution of audit and risk issues within agreed timelines.
  • Supervise the payment systems for goods and services to ensure timely payment of vendor invoices, claims, and commissions.
  • Ensure timely resolution of queries and complaints from other departments within the agreed turnaround time, including GL access and requests for refunds or reversals.
